"Fight For America" Bread of Stone Urges Christian Vote

Nashville, TN – October 30, 2008 –- With the November 4th Election being less than one week away, Bread of Stone hit the media trail this past month, discussing the importance of voting on the principles this country was founded on and why it is important to vote. Ben Kristijanto, lead singer and co-founder of the band, shared his views on the importance of encouraging Evangelicals, especially young adults to cast their ballots.
Having done over two dozen interviews during the month of October, Bread of Stone hit the road sharing their testimony, discussing the importance of voting and performing on Christian and mainstream radio and television stations,including FamilyNet’s “Everyday with Marcus and Lisa” and “Mornings with Lorri and Larry,” which airs not only live on TV, but also simulcast on Sirius Radio. While in Atlanta, the band stopped at WATC-TV 57’s Atlanta Live, where they were interviewed by Bishop William Sheals and performed 5 songs throughout the live show. Continuing to Montgomery, AL, the band was featured during the morning show on WAKA-TV, a CBS affiliate.
Throughout the month, Bill and Ben Kristijanto shared how their ministry began in 2004 and talked about living in Indonesia, the largest Muslim country the first 9 years of their life. The band was interviewed by stations including, The Path FM, WJTL, His Radio, WEKZ, WEEC, and The River, a new Christian radio station in Montgomery, AL.
Finishing up the month of touring and media, Bread of Stone is gearing up for a December Christmas tour with Superchick.

Bread of Stone and Pro Football Hall of Fame Member
Joins Forces for Youth Leadership
|
Nashville, TN – October 8, 2008 –- Strive for Excellence, a motto Bread of Stone tries to practice daily, was the theme for this year’s Youth Leadership Seminar hosted by Pro Football Hall of Fame member, Anthony Muñoz.
Muñoz is one of Cincinnati’s true sports icons. Considered by many as the greatest offensive lineman in NFL history, Muñoz the only Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee in Cincinnati Bengals history, has a record of excellence that is unrivaled in Professional Football. “It is great to see an up and coming band with such a humble spirit. I am encouraged when I see Bread of Stone out communicating a positive message,” say Muñoz. “They brought a new energy level to our Youth Leadership Seminar and I would like to thank them for joining us in Cincinnati for this event.”
Hosted at Cincinnati’s Xavier University’s Cintas Center, the band was able to share their message and music to the events record attendance of 95 schools representing more than 1400 students and 250 teachers.
Bread of Stone started the event energizing the students with three of their most popular songs before community leaders, which included Cincinnati Bell CEO Jack Cassidy, former Cincinnati Bengal Cris Collinsworth, and Brigadier General Arnold N. Gordon Bray took the stage to encourage students to do everything with excellence.

Christian Band Bread Of Stone Reaches “Across The Aisle” With Major Mainstream Visibility To Encourage Youth Vote
Casting Crowns, Mercy Me And Natalie Grant Share The Message Of Redeem The Vote

Nashville, TN – September 18, 2008 –- This past week Bread of Stone took to the trail encouraging Evangelicals to be involved in this year’s upcoming election.
For the next seven weeks, Bread of Stone will actively promote voting on November 4th from the stage and through major national media.
One of their first media stops was at WHO Radio, a Clear Channel station and Iowa' largest talk radio station, with Steve Deace in the afternoons. The listeners of this popular afternoon drive time show heard Bread of Stone’s testimony of coming from Indonesia, the world’s largest Muslim country, starting a Christian band and how their careers have reached a new level this past year.
Ben Kristijanto, lead singer and co-founder, told how the band became involved with an organization, Redeem the Vote, who encourages young Evangelicals, 18-35 years old, to vote based on Godly principals. The band is joined by other artists including, Mercy Me, Natalie Grant and Casting Crowns in sharing this message.
